The reality of leading in any organization - but particularly in the fast-moving world of Game Development - is complicated. There are countless issues to address, voices to hear, and decisions to make. It can easily become impossible to distinguish signal from noise - particularly when unfamiliar situations arise. That's where executive coaching can help.

We partner with seasoned senior leaders to provide an informed external perspective to help hone their focus on the problems at hand, refine their approach to addressing them, and sharpen their thinking as they drive to key decisions in the heat of the moment.

Structured in 3-month weekly or 6-month bi-weekly or monthly sprints, the coaching / advisory engagement begins with an optional assessment to illuminate where to focus. From there, this powerful tool augments skills, mitigates blind spots, and up-levels the quality of leadership from your most senior people.

Our Process

 

1. Kick-Off Call

First, we'll have a kick-off call to meet and discuss the particular Leader and situation you wish to address.

2. Optional Assessment

At your option, we will set up a series of 1-on-1 meetings to get to know the Leader, their manager, and any peers or direct reports we agree on to help shed light on opportunities to sharpen skills and abilities. Following these meetings, we will prepare a prospective roadmap of improvement areas for this Leader.

3. Coaching Plan

We will then meet with the Leader and their manager to agree on the roadmap of improvement areas, and the coaching topics that will best support this roadmap.

4. Coaching / Advisory Sessions

We will meet on our agreed cadence (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly) 1-on-1 with the Leader to cover the roadmap as well as to address any emergent topics that arise during the coaching engagement. By design, there will be ample opportunity to implement the ideas we cover in between sessions, and course-correct using real-time asynchronous feedback via e-mail.

5. Coaching Debrief

Once the coaching / advisory sessions have concluded, we will debrief with the Leader and their manager to clarify ground we have covered, and opportunities for future growth.

6. Optional: Additional Advisor Support

Your Leader may wish to continue to receive guidance and support as they navigate their role. It is common for Executive Coaching / Advisory engagements to be extended or revisited as new situations arise. However, there are also other options to help with broader improvements across the team and organizaiton:
